SUMMER STAYCATION IN THE 90210: BEVERLY HILTON

There is nothing quite as dreamy and iconic as a summer staycation in the 90210. Johnny and I headed up to LA last week for our 3 day staycation at the Beverly Hilton. Built in 1955, the BH boasts vintage charm, yet at the same time feels updated and fresh. We checked in with the sweet staff, and then headed over to the elevator to start out getaway.

Upon arrival to our 6th floor suite, we were showered with champagne + chocolate covered strawberries which we immediately devoured (right after taking a photo or 20 of course). I unpacked all of the weekends outfits, and organized closet. Once settled in, we rushed out to our beautiful patio. Our room had the most iconic wrap around balcony with a table + chairs set up in the perfect place to sip champagne in our robes and watch the sun set over Sunset BLVD. Once night fell over the city, we slipped into our room and melted into the king size bed covered in down pillows for an amazing nights sleep.

In the morning, we were awoken by the gorgeous sunrise peeking through the curtains. Hidden behind a sliding mirror door, the luxurious bathroom had every amenity you can think of. A TV hung on the wall, while a magnifying makeup mirror sat on the counter waiting for me to get ready for the day. Once beautified, we headed down for some breakfast + a dip in their Aqua Star pool.

Breaky is the most important meal of the day, and the BH is THE place for your morning meal. They offer the most extensive breakfast buffet I have has the pleasure of attacking. With an omelette bar complete with its own chef, endless pastry options, every breakfast meat you can think of, fruit bunches, and even smoked salmon, we definitely over-ate here. It’s impossible to pass up all the delicious treats!

For lunch, we enjoyed their “Taco Tuesday” with $2 tacos filled with carne asada, chicken, or pork. I tried the asada + pork and loved every second of it.

When dinner time rolled around, we made our way downstairs to the in-house restaurant Circa 55. Johnny and I ordered the steak with brussel sprouts, accompanied by a charcuterie board and a round of drinks. I opted for the peach Bellini (which I highly recommend) and Johnny ordered his classic beer.

If you are planning a trip to California, you need to stay at the Beverly Hilton for a true upscale Los Angeles feel.
